The Greenwood Golf Club is pleased to announce an exciting new tournament opportunity.  2009 is our 50th season, and to kick off our celebration we will be hosting a 4 Person Mixed Scramble the weekend of May 30-31.

The tournament has been planned to be fun and relaxing, while celebrating our club’s past, as well as to honour some important members in the building and growth of our club.  The first honourees are Joe and Rita Bartkow.  Joe and Rita have been here since very near the beginning in one capacity or another, with Joe being our longtime greens superintendent.

The entry fee for the tournament is $225 per team, taxes included.  Each team will recieve a practice round, 2 tournament rounds, entry to Friday and Saturday night Socials, and a roast dinner on the Saturday evening.  We hope to see many of you out for what looks to be a weekend of great fun, friends and golf!

Karen, Bruce and I are back to work getting things ready for the 2009 season, although with all the snow and cold opening day may seem like a long way off.  Our membership rates have not changed for the 2009 season, you can check them out on the rates and packages page.  There is still one week left if you would like to take out the full 12 months of payments or DND/Military pay alottments, the deadline being 13 March 2009.  Starting the 15th the number of months drops to 11. 

And don’t forget the Lobster Draw!  if you take out your membership before 27 March 2009, your name will be entered for a chance to win one of 5 prizes of 10 pounds of fresh Atlantic Lobster.

Our Christmas card and mail out stated that this Sunday, 8 March, would be the date of the AGM.  We have had to push back the date to the last Sunday in March, the 29th.  Meeting time is still going to be 2:00 PM.  Again, the new date for the AGM is 29 March 2009 at 2:00PM.
